Sizing Help

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on our new measuring form.
Lisa Nelle Measurements
The new form is a little more detailed and offers blank spaces for you to input your measurements. This might make things easier for those of you who aren't sure of what size to order.

We know it can be hard to take proper measurements by yourself, so ask someone for help to get a more accurate measurement.

If you have any questions please visit our frequently asked questions page and if you still have questions please send us an email and we will be happy to help.

Beat the heat with these summer horse treats

Summer has definitely hit our neck of the woods. If we are all barely able to stand the heat I can only imagine how our horses must feel this time of year. With that being said I wanted to share some treats that your horses might appreciate in this scorching weather.
Make-Cooling-Summer-Treats-for-Your-Horse
Make your horse tasty ice cubes using grains, raisins and even apple chunks. If your horse has never had ice cubes in their water before make sure you supervise them for their first try. (Do not over feed them ice treats - moderation is key in the heat)
Frozen-Carrot-Treats-for-Your-Horse
If your horse isn't into apples or raisins you can always try slicing up carrots and sticking them in the freezer. Your horse is sure to love this cold treat.
treat
Make homemade mint popsicles. The mint helps to regulate temperature and will serve as a refreshing treat.
What special treat do you make your horses when its extra hot out? Post your recipes or suggestions on how to keep cool. We're always looking for new ideas.

Stay cool!

Equestrian inspired life hacks that will make your mom happy

May 10th is fast approaching and its that time of year again where we show our moms how much we love them.
Here is a a few equestrian inspired life hacks that will surely put a smile on your moms face.
1. Make her a boot rack for the barn. It's easy, inexpensive and it will make her happy to see everything organized. All you need is double sided Velcro and a little patience.

2. Make an eco-friendly food scooper... for FREE! Just get one of those milk jugs from the recycled trash and you can make one in no time. You could even personalize the outside with a marker.

3. Clean the barn, yes it can be hard... but doing it without having to be asked to do it is one of those things moms love to see. (not exactly a life hack... but we all know it needs to be done)

4. Does your moms favorite suede boots have stains? Gather up the emery boards and use them to gently file them down.

5. Pick up a pair of loofah gloves and give her tack a deep cleaning. (make sure the surface area isn't too smooth or else you will scratch it and we will both be in trouble)

Better get started! Mothers day is just around the corner!

Black Friday (Dun..dun..dun)

Black Friday is almost upon us and you know what that means...

Crowds, lines, and headaches.

Since we just had our final sale of the year and won't be participating we would like to offer tips on how to survive this years Black Friday.

1. Plan ahead! Make sure to have a list of stores and items on hand before tackling the day. There  is a lot of impulse buying when you don't have a list. Visit the store ahead of time so you know exactly where to go for the items that you want.

2. Take a buddy. Yes shopping alone could mean less stress for you, but having an extra pair of hands will definitely come in handy when you're searching for that one item that you or your loved one just can't live without. Plus they can help you carry all those hot deals you scored.

3. Be prepared. You would be surprised at how much time you'll save by bringing your own bags. Not only is it helpful to the environment but you wont have to worry about those flimsy plastic bags tearing on you.

4. Have cash available! Life happens. Sometimes the credit/debit machine will go on over load from all the crazy transactions and certain lines will be cash only. In my experience those will be the shortest lines you can be in.

5. Take a snack. If you plan to shop late at night to the wee hours of the morning, make sure you packed yourself a snack to keep your energy up.

6. Don't forget your gift receipt. There will be returns. Make it easier for the recipient to exchange your gift if its the wrong size/color without having to let them know how much it cost. (Grandma doesn't need to know you scored her that cashmere sweater at 60% off)

7. Be kind. The Black Friday sale comes directly after a holiday where we let everyone know how thankful we are for who and what we have in life. There are stories each year about how someone has been trampled or badly injured due to a Black Friday sale. No amount of savings if worth hurting someone for.

If you don't want to deal with all the shopping madness you can always participate in Cyber Monday where most of the deals you would get in store on Black Friday will also be available.

Hopefully these tips help! Be safe & Happy Holidays!

*Just a reminder: Our office will be closed on 11/26 and we will return on 12/1
